What's a token?

A token is the unit the work is counted in. Roughly speaking, a token is about three quarters of a word, so a page of text is somewhere around 500 to 800 tokens. A drawing, a spec, or a scanned page is counted the same way once BrixIQ reads it.

Reading is input
Everything you hand BrixIQ, plus the context it needs to make sense of it: the drawing, the spec, the notes on the job, the history it pulls in.
Answering is output
What BrixIQ writes back: the extracted dimensions, the quote lines, the summary, the document it drafts.
Output costs more than input
Reading is cheap, writing is not. That is why the two are priced separately on every mode, rather than as one blended number.
You are not charged per seat or per quote
Tokens meter what the work actually took. A one-page RFQ and a fifty-page assembly package do not cost the same, and you are not paying a flat fee that assumes the worst case.

Token counts vary by document, so the exact number for a given job is the one on the meter in-product, not an estimate. Always refer to your agreement for how these rates apply to your account.
